All about us, where we came from, where we are and where we're going

The tradition of gifting wedding favors to guests is a very old one. It is believed that the first wedding favor, common amongst European aristocrats, was known as a bonbonniere. A bonbonniere is a luxurious trinket box filled with sugar cubes or delicate confections. As the years passed these confections evolved into sugared almonds. Traditionally, five Jordan almonds were presented in a confection box or wrapped in elegant fabric to represent fertility, longevity, wealth, health and happiness. Nowadays favours take all forms but still hold the same meaning and symbolism.

Whilst planning my own wedding I found it very difficult to find favours which fit the theme of my big day whilst remaining affordable, in the end I made my own. As a bride with high standards and an eye for small details I decided that if my favours met my standards then I would pursue my dream of creating beautiful favours at affordable prices so that every bride can find the perfect trinket to compliment her big day no matter what her theme. With that, BonBonniere was born and our services don’t stop at weddings, we cater for all events including anniversaries, birthdays, stag/hen parties, christenings, baby showers and corporate events. If it’s important to you, it’s important to us so please don’t hesitate to get in touch and find out how we can add that finishing touch to your celebration.

With love,
